Who can participate: Primary caregivers of children 0-18

Location: 516 Teller St. (Salida), 516 East Main Street (BV)

When: Ongoing, every Monday 4:30-6:00 p.m.(Salida), Thursdays 4:30-6:00 p.m. (BV)

Details: Free child care and light snacks provided

About: Weekly group to connect with other parents, get parenting information from professionals, and find support as you navigate the challenges of raising children.

Lesson Packs: For Parents & Primary Caregivers

Offered by: Salida Pregnancy Resource Center

Who can participate: Primary caregivers of children 0-5

Location: 215 E. 3rd St.

When: Ongoing, lessons are 30-60 minutes in length each and self-paced

About: Lesson Packs are available on a variety of parenting topics, and include multiple lessons in each pack. Topics include Pregnancy and Birth, The First Year, Toddlers, Positive Partnerships and more.

Circle of Security

Who can participate: This course is geared for parents and providers of children ages 0-5

About: The Circle of Security Parenting program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened. The program helps parents understand what their child’s behavior means and what it can tell them about their child’s needs.

Circle of Security in BV is offered each year beginning in January, April and September. The course includes 8 weekly sessions that each last 90 minutes. Free child care and light snacks are provided.

Nurturing Parenting: Ages 0-5

Who can participate: This course is geared for parents and providers of children ages 0-5

About: Nurturing Parenting is an evidence-based weekly parenting skills program that offers tools, connections, and support for families. Each class includes discussion, interaction, sharing experiences, and facilitator-led lessons.

Nurturing Parenting is offered every year beginning in the third week of January. The weekly sessions are 2.5 hours long and the course runs 12-16 weeks in total. Free child care and dinner are provided.

Nurturing Parenting: Ages 6-18

Who can participate: This course is geared toward parents and providers of children ages 6-18

About: Nurturing Parenting for parents and providers of children ages 6-18 is an evidence-based weekly parenting skills program. It offers tools, connections, and support for families. Each class includes discussion, interaction, sharing experiences, and facilitator-led lessons.

Nurturing Parenting for caregivers and providers of children ages 6-18 is offered twice a year beginning in January and September.

The program is offered in both BV and Salida.

The course consists of 12 weekly sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours. Free child care and dinner are provided.
